Who We Are
Union County Illinois Alliance of Churches is a loose association of believers from across the denominational spectrum who realize “The Church” is only at its full potential when we act together as one.
Our Mission
The Alliance is committed to encouraging unity among all the Christian church congregations, “The Church,” in Union county, Illinois. By stimulating one another to love and good deeds, and endorsing any church ministry that is specifically designed to meet a local public need within the county. We provide assistance as we are able, to residents and transients in need of prayer, spiritual guidance, food, shelter, clothing, and transportation, while joining together with the churches in the county for religious services, and promoting Christian values of love and good will in the community.
We have no physical address, no paid staff, no rent or utilities, and only petty expenses like postage. All our monies go to ministering to those in need. We care about people, especially our neighbors here in Union county. Since we have no building, we meet the first Wednesday of each month at 8:30am in the facilities of a host church. A continental breakfast is often served, and the meetings generally last until 10am. Any member of one of the many Christian churches in the county is welcome to join us. Our next meeting is:

ASSISTANCE FOR THOSE IN NEED
The needs of our distressed community are outgrowing individual church resources ,government programs, and private not for profits. We must make a combined effort to meet basic needs of our citizens. Here’s how we will do our part:
- We will provide prayer and spiritual guidance to anyone who asks.
- We will provide financial help to qualified persons for food, shelter, utilities, and transportation for as long as we have funds.
- When our funds are exhausted we will help those in need find other sources of help.
- We will publish on this website other sources of assistance.
SUPPORTING OTHER CHURCHES
Church unity is imperative if the church is going to make a difference in the lives of the distressed and dispirited living within the boundaries of Union county. The Alliance will foster such unity by:
- Attending one another's worship services
- Praying DAILY for the welfare of every church in the county
- Support local public outreach ministries of every church
- Encourage Christ's love between all churches
